Air swishes the battlefield: Unbeatable Run in MLBB Intramurals 2025
Air Nomad soared high with an undefeated run to claim the championship title in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Men’s Division of the ISU-Ilagan Intramurals 2025, defeating Fire Nation, 2–1 (19–13, 6–16, 25–12).
The strategic lineup of Air Nomad is consist of 5 Information Technology players, headed by their Team Captain, Jerome Apostol (NS-1B) also known as 'Gin' of the team jungler (Assassin), Mark John Asuero (NS-1B) 'Mrkjhnnnnn' the gold laner (Marksman), and James Tadeo (NS-1B) 'No Other Heart' in the exp lane (Fighter) , Emar Fenix (1A-WMAD) as the roamer (Support/tank) 'Rio' and Gian Carlo Natividad (3A-WMAD) as the mid laner (Mage) .
Apostol (Gin) led the team to triumph, bagging the Finals MVP, Overall MVP, and the Highest KDA (Kill-Death-Assist) record throughout the tournament.
"Tulong tulong sa laro, dapat may disiplina", Jerome of Air Nomad said, "More practice pa hanggang sa mas matuto, mas papalawakin pa namin hero poll namin lalo na sa EXP and Gold lane" he added.
Nomads hacked out Game 1, with hero Joy (jungle) securing 3 turtles and 3 lords. Cici (exp lane) seized the MVP title with 9-0-4 KDA, leading the squad to a 19-13 win in 17:04 minutes.
The Fire Nation surged back after losing Game 1. Hayabusa (Jungle) dominated with a 5-0-6 KDA, and Bane (Gold Lane) finished the match with a Savage, completing a 6–16 victory and leveling the series. Fire Nation controlled all objectives, harvesting three Turtles and two Lords, with an 11.1k gold lead.
The deciding Game 3 was a seesaw battle. Both teams traded objectives early, with Fire Nation claiming the first Turtle and Air Nomad taking the second. At the seven-minute mark, Joy (Jungle) of Fire Nation scored a Maniac kill, but Air Nomad quickly regained momentum. After eliminating Fire Nation’s Marksman and Mage, they secured the Lord and pushed toward the end. Despite a Triple Kill from Phoveus (EXP Lane), Irithel and Hayabusa of Air Nomad closed the match with a 25–12 victory in 12:38 minutes, sealing the 2–1 series win.
Fire Nation’s roster featured Jaypee (Jungler), Super Rizi (Gold Laner), Cynth (EXP Laner), Senku (Roamer), and Shogun (Mid Laner).
“Para sa amin, walang kulang sa team namin. Normal lang magkamali sa sobrang intense ng laro,” Jaypee said. “If ever magkaroon ulit ng opportunity, sasali pa rin kami. Losing is part of winning.”
Air Nomad emerged as the overall champion of the MLBB Men’s Division, followed by Fire Nation as first runner-up. Water Tribe, represented by Industrial Technology, secured the second runner-up spot, while Earth Kingdom settled for third runner-up. Earlier in the tournament, Air Nomad dethroned the defending champions, Water Tribe, in a clean 2–0 sweep during the semifinals.
